Hastelloy C22 Product Introduction
Product Overview
Hastelloy C22 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy developed by Haynes International (USA). With its unique multi-element synergistic composition design (high chromium and molybdenum provide resistance to oxidative corrosion, while tungsten enhances localized corrosion resistance), it stands out among numerous nickel-based alloys. It not only offers comprehensive corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding highly corrosive media such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and chloride-containing solutions, but also exhibits excellent high-temperature mechanical stability. It can withstand cyclic temperature fluctuations and load impacts for long periods at temperatures below 650°C. Widely used in the manufacturing of critical components requiring high corrosion resistance and reliability in industries such as chemical engineering, energy, and environmental protection, it is the preferred material to replace traditional stainless steel and ordinary alloys in harsh corrosive environments.

Product Characteristics
Excellent Corrosion Resistance: It has strong resistance to mixed acids (such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid) and chlorine-containing media (e.g., seawater, chlorine gas), outperforming most nickel-based alloys;
Good High-Temperature Stability: Maintains stable mechanical properties below 650°C and can withstand cyclic high-temperature working conditions;
Superior Processability: Suitable for conventional processing such as welding, forging, and rolling; no complex heat treatment is required after welding to maintain corrosion resistance;
Intergranular Corrosion Resistance: The low-carbon + high-chromium-molybdenum composition design effectively inhibits the risk of intergranular corrosion cracking.
Metallographic Structure
At room temperature, it has a face-centered cubic crystal structure (austenitic structure) with no precipitated phase transformation. It maintains high structural stability after long-term use, with no brittle phases formed.
