Product Overview

7075 aluminum is a heat-treatable Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with zinc as its primary alloying element. It is widely recognized as one of the strongest commercially available aluminum alloys, achieving an ultimate tensile strength of up to 572 MPa in the T6 temper — approaching that of many steels — while maintaining a density of just 2.81 g/cm³, roughly one-third that of carbon steel.

7075 aluminum bar offers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, excellent fatigue resistance, and outstanding machinability. It is the material of choice for aerospace structures, defense components, high-performance automotive parts, precision tooling, and premium sporting equipment. For machined parts where high load-bearing capacity and lightweight design are critical, 7075 bar is the ideal solution.

Temper Selection Guide

●For precision CNC machining, choose T651 (stress-relieved, minimal distortion after material removal)
●For applications requiring stress corrosion cracking resistance, select T73 or T7351
●If forming is required before heat treatment, start with O temper stock
●Not recommended for welded structures — for weld-intensive applications, consider 6061 or 6082
●Custom sizes, tight tolerances (±0.02 mm for cold finished), and special tempers available upon request
